COSMEDIA.INC is led by veteran media executive Mike Cosentino, a senior media leader and content champion with a 25-year track record of success in broadcast, cable, SVOD and streaming during an unprecedented period of success in the Canadian media sector. In January 2021, he left BCE’s (TSX: BCE) media division, Bell Media where he was President of Content & Programming and launched COSMEDIA.INC to leverage his expertise and super-serve the media industry in Canada, the U.S., Latin American and abroad. The company has since partnered with some of the World’s foremost entertainment brands including Fremantle, Viaplay, Shout! Factory Studios, Incendo, Talpa Entertainment, Quiver Entertainment & Distribution, Reel World Management, Aftershock Media, Mogul Productions, Blue Ant Media, A+E Networks and more.


The former President, Content & Programming for Bell Media, Cosentino led programming, production and content for the company’s Entertainment services including #1 ranked CTV, the CTV Streaming Platform, the CTV Cable Channel Group and the International Channel portfolio Discovery Channel, E!, Comedy Central, and MTV. He was a key figure during a 20-year period of unprecedented success and led CTV to 14 straight years as Canada’s #1 broadcaster (2007-21). In his role, Cosentino ran CTV’s Hollywood Buy annually at the LA Screenings and led negotiations with the major Hollywood studios, including Warner Bros., Disney, NBCU, Sony, 20th Century FOX, CBS Studios, Viacom, Fremantle, ITV, BBC, MGM, Lionsgate and more. His love of programming included sports which included CTV’s broadcast of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, the subsequent 2012 London Summer Games and leading CTV’s NFL strategy since CTV won the rights in 2007.


In 2014, he expanded his role to lead the content strategy and launch of SVOD service Crave where he greenlit the first ever Crave Original, the now iconic series Letterkenny. In 2018 he added leadership of the Entertainment Specialty Channels and launched a strategy to expand the CTV channel portfolio, introducing CTV Drama, CTV Sci-Fi, CTV Comedy, CTV Life, CTV Movies and CTV Throwback and combining the inventories to create one supersized CTV branded streaming service, ushering the company into a new digital era. During his tenure at Bell Media, Cosentino took on oversight of the Commissioning & Production teams, Bell Media Studios and the sale of that catalogue around the world. He was instrumental in greenlighting Canada’s most brand defining Original programs including international hits Letterkenny (Crave/Hulu), Transplant (CTV/NBC), Cardinal (CTV/Hulu), Children Ruin Everything (CTV/Roku) along with overseeing the teams who developed some of Canada’s most successful formats including The Amazing Race Canada, MasterChef Canada and most recently, Canada’s Drag Race.  Cosentino was a founding Board Member of the Entertainment Industry Foundation Canada and has served on the Boards at WOW! Unlimited Media and the Discovery Channel Canada.

COSMEDIA.INC has considerable expertise and success in Content Distribution having licensed Movie and Series content in English and French as both Sales Agent and Distributor. In January, 2023 the company launched COSMEDIA LATAM, a Latin American Distribution Arm and in May, 2023 it signed an exclusive partnership with Colombia based RCN and its distribution division RCN Distribution to localise and distribute movie, documentary and series content to broadcasters and streamers in the LatAm market.
